Session Prep - February 19, 2022

Updated: Jan 20

In preparation for February's Cultural/Global session, every young man should have received an Ancestry DNA kit. As a first step, your family should create a profile on Ancestry.com and follow instructions to activate the kit. Hopefully, this will be an enlightening journey for your family.

Each young man should complete the DNA test and leverage the online resources and conversations with family to identify their father’s lineage for four generations (e.g. mom and dad, father parents, father grandparents, father great grandparents). This information will be used as a reference during the February session and as they begin to work on their culminating ceremony.

Expect a HuROP notebook check. Young men should adhere to the checklist below.

1. All session handouts provided

2. Thank you cards and envelopes

3, Mentor Log

4. Evaluation

REMINDER: Mail handwritten thank you Notes to each judge from January's session.
