The Thornhill Rites of Passage Foundation offers programs that build the Core4 - character, competitiveness, competence and citizenship to empower young men of color from diverse economic backgrounds.
The HūMan Rites of Passage Program (HūROP) is a year-long program for 7th grade boys of color, which include monthly sessions and a culminating ceremony. Twelve young men will be selected for each program for the 2021-2022 program year. Applications must be submitted by May 1.
The HūMan Leadership Institute (HLI) is offered to young men in grades 8-9 enabling them to join a brotherhood and build skills in wellness, money management, legal and civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and college preparedness. The four interactive sessions are offered between October 2020 and May 2021. Applications must be submitted by September 30.
